Meet the Owners

Kevin P. O’Leary

Kevin O’Leary serves at Chief Executive Officer for O’Leary Asphalt Inc. and was one of the original founders and owners.  For the first 20 years in his role as a business owner, he served in the role of field general superintendent overseeing all the field work being done, as well as all equipment purchasing and repairs. In 2003 his role split, he moved into the office, and joined the estimating staff. His strength is redesigning problem jobs that have premature structural failure and asphalt jobs that have water problems.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mr. O’Leary moved from Deerfield, IL to Potomac, Maryland in 1973. After high school, Kevin went to auto mechanic school and worked for Ford Motor Company for one year while doing asphalt driveways on the weekends during the summer months.  After his year at Ford, he started working exclusively in asphalt, concrete, and snow and ice management and eventually founded O’Leary Asphalt Inc.

In addition to over 30 years of hands on experience, Kevin has taken over 100 educational classes through various organizations and seminars such as NAPA (National Asphalt Pavement Association) and WOC (World of Concrete and National Pavement Maintenance Expo).

Kevin’s real love is spending time with his family and coaching his four children in sports. He currently coaches his twin boys in football in the MMYFCL and assistant coaches his sons in Lacrosse in the MYLA league.  He is a contributing member of the Sandy Spring Athletic Association.
